she has been coming here for nearly 2 years & she is treating it like her 2nd home. Angie & staff treat her like a VIP & I would not hesitate to recommend Tallpines to anyone. Angies' knowledge of German Shepherds is 2nd to none.
Emmylou can't wait to return next year. |

Absolutely fantastic |
After searching the net looking for kennels for a weekend so that my husband & I could go away for a few days. we came across "Tallpines", I gave them a call and was invited over with my dogs (Alfie & Sooty) to look at where they would be staying. I was impressed from the start. A few days later I sent an email to Angie explaining that I needed help with my dogs as they are awful on the lead & that the youngest (sooty) was constantly jumping up at anybody that entered the house. Angie immediately agreed to take the dogs for a period of time in order to train them (my training comes next week) Once we arrived Angie knew exactly how to make them behave. My children & I stayed for about half an hour, and believe me, I could see a total difference from when we first arrived. Angie took both dogs to the field and from then on the training began. We watched as Tony walked them etc and again I must say "what a difference". Thank you
so so so much and we cannot wait to see you all in a few days |

Re Cadbury ( now Bruno ) |
We were introduced to Anjie via dear Mindy of Labrador rescue.
We took on Cadbury a beautifull chocalate Labrador on the 19th May 09. He has settled in very quickly and has responded almost imediately to his new name ( Bruno ) we realise that Anjie and her staff have done a great job with his training.
We were given a thee page documented history on Cadbury when we colected him and have to say how honest and how exact it was, a real tribute to Anjie and all her staff.
We would like to say a big thank you to Mindy,Anjie and all the staff at Tallpines.

Good Points
This is a truly great place to leave your dog, owners are both great people, who obviously love dogs, and leave you feeling relaxed, and assured. Also they take time to talk to you as people, not just a money making machine.
The kennels have large open fields and large outdoor pens, and look great, My staffy loves going.
Bad Points
None!! It's all excellent.
General Comments
I have used Tall Pines Pets Retreat kennel three times and cant find a fault, I have even booked very last minute, and they managed to fit me in.
My dog loves to come, and hates to leave, I had to drag her out of the gates last time, and who better to give the review than the dog itself!!
I am very pleased with Tall Pines, and will continue to use in the future.

This is our second visit to Tall Pines and we will keep on returning.
We left our 2 dogs (Buster & Jasper) when we went away for a few days and were really happy with the care they both received. We have recommend Tall Pines to all our friends and we will leave Buster 7 Jasper whenever we have to go away.
When we arrive to collect them its as is we had never been away as they are always really happy and not wanting to leave !!!!!
Thank you all again x

Very Pleased |
Left our two dogs with angie & staff for one week. This was the first time I've ever used kennels and although it was like leaving the children at school for the first time, I didn't worry about them (too much!) any small fears I may have had were proved to be groundless as when I came to collect them they were in top form and in no rush to leave. I would not hesitate to reccomend Tall Pines.
Many thanks to Angie and Team
P.s. I must stress my fears were not with the kennels but simply due to it being my first time away from my pups! I will have no worries next time I leave them.
Thanks again to Angie & Team |

The best 'home from home' for any dog |
Having only rescued our beautiful 1 year old (ish) German Shepherd about 3 months ago, we were somewhat worried about leaving her anywhere for a long weekend.
She's a lovely dog and has quickly turned our house into a home. Our dog trainer (or should that be human trainer?) recommended we speak to Angie who gave us the last space and got on with her instantly.
With her excellent knowledge of German Shepherds she managed to devise a diet that sorted out our girls somewhat iffy bowels and when we came to collect her she was in excellent form.
Angie had obviously spent time training her and looking after her as she is even better behaved than before and obviously had a great time at the retreat - I'll never worry about having to leave her again as I think she probably had as good a holiday as we did!
I highly recommend Tallpines and am delighted we found such an excellent holiday resort for the dog! |

Brilliant |
We left our pets (dog and cat) over the Christmas and New Year Period and were really happy with the care they both received.
We recommend and will leave our pets whenever we have to go away. My dog she even looked younger and healthier when we returned!
Thanks very much!

Labrador Rescue South East And Central |
In February 2007,my Area Co-rdinator,set me the task of finding a local Boarding Kennel which could house some of our more unfortunate dogs who could not be found a home immediately. The Kennel needed to be able to take in dogs at short notice, sometimes as quickly as the same day and have the knowledge to assess the dogs both physically and psychologically.I wrote to many kennels in the area and Angie responded almost immediately.I arranged an appointment to go and meet Angie and view the Kennels.I was impressed by the facilities and setting of the Kennels and after talking to Angie at length,I was also impressed with her knowledge of Dog Psychology and Dog Behaviour. Not only was she willing to help, she also offered training for those dogs that needed it.
Unfortunately,a large percentage of the dogs that come into our care, have lacked leadership and training and we welcomed her offer with open arms!
Within a day of meeting Angie, she had her first customer from LRSEC.He was a yellow dog of 3 years. He had spent most of his life in a run in a back garden and had never been allowed in the house. He was never walked and found himself alone all day and night apart from when he was fed over a six foot fence. He had had no socialisation with people, dogs or other animals.
Angie and her brother Simon, worked with him every day and found that he was eager to learn. As with most rescue dogs.it was often a case of two steps forward and one back. However, after 6 months of exercise leadership discipline and affection,he was turned around and is now living happily in his new home with 3 other dogs.
Thankyou so much Angie and Simon for you dedication and commitment to our boy!
Several other dogs have passed through Tall Pines. Some needing more rehabilitation than others and we havent had a failure yet.
Labrador Rescue South East And Central are looking forward to a long and successful working relationship with Tall Pines. |

Murphy |
My 2yr old German Shepherd was a problem dog, he hated other dogs. When looking to kennel Murphy for a few days Angie and Simon where more than happy to take him on. On collection Angie felt she could help with our problem where others had failed. Murphy loves Tall Pines as much as being at home, and is always well cared for and enjoys his time there. Angie's training programme has made a world of difference to him. I'd like to thank the Tall Pines team for all your care and hard work. Thankyou. |

Max has a second home!!! |
My dog is my life and apart from my mum I would never let anyone else take care of him. However after visiting Angie and Simon at Tall Pines and leaving my baby there for 4 days over Christmas, he has found his second home!! Max has just returned from his second stay - this time for 8 days!! He bounded in and gave Angie lots of kisses when we arrived and was happy healthy and better trained when I collected him. If you have never left your dog in kennels before and are worried - don't be Tall Pines is absolutely perfect and your dog will want to go back again and again! The staff give a million percent and show dedication that you can only imagine. The doggie quarters are clean comfortable and extremely well maintained and the excercise facilities are wonderful. It truly is My dogs home from home!!

Nelson |
Hi Angie,
I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that Nelson is settling in brilliantly and is very content in his new home.
We currently walk about 3 hours a day, an hour before breakfast, an hour at lunch time and an hour in the evening. He's having great fun exploring all the local countryside and meeting all the local animals including horses, dogs and bunny rabbits! We've got a 6 mile walk planned for Saturday so lets hope the rain stays away.
Thanks to your training he is now very easy to put on the lead, he sits quietly and waits. He knows the commands sit, stay, wait, no and off and is currently learning down and heel. He's getting good at heel but down confuses him a bit - we'll get there. We have managed to stop the jumping up in excitement at people by turning our backs on him when he does it, then making a huge fuss as soon as his feet are all on the floor. Now when he forgets and jumps up, he immediately comes to the front of the person and sits down. So sweet.
He's a really great companion and so sweet and funny he's constantly making me laugh. At this moment he's currently crashed out on his bed after our lunchtime walk.
Thanks again for all your help and doing such a great job with him.

Wouldn't mind a week there myself, October 10, 2007 |
Our dogs have stayed twice at Tall Pines and it speaks for itself that on their second visit they raced out of the car, straight to the kennel they stayed in before! Angie and her team clearly know what they are doing and treat each dog according to their needs. The dogs loved their stay and we went away happy in the knowledge that they were receiving excellent care. We will use Tall Pines again and would recommend it to anyone without hesitation!
